Job Description:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Music and/or Art lessons in line with the school curriculum and international best practices.

    Teach practical and theoretical aspects of music (vocal, instrumental, rhythm) and/or visual arts (drawing, painting, crafts, design).

    Encourage creativity, self-expression, and appreciation of the arts.

    Identify, develop, and nurture learners’ artistic and musical talents.

    Organise and support school concerts, exhibitions, performances, and cultural events.

    Create a positive, inclusive, and learner-centred classroom environment.

    Assess learners’ progress and maintain accurate academic records.

    Ensure safe handling and proper use of musical instruments and art materials.

    Uphold safeguarding, child protection, and school policies.

    Communicate effectively with parents on learners’ progress.

    Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities

Qualification/Work Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Music, Fine Art, Art Education, or a related field.

    Valid teaching qualification and registration with the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ).

    Minimum of 2 years teaching experience (experience in private or international schools is an advantage).

    Ability to teach both practical and theory components of Music and/or Art.

    Experience in instrumental music, drama, or creative arts will be an added advantage.
