Job Description:

• Provide first aid and basic medical care to learners and staff.
  
  Assess, manage, and document illnesses and injuries occurring at school.
  
  Administer prescribed medication in accordance with medical guidelines and parental consent.
  
  Maintain accurate medical records and confidential health information.
  
  Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate referrals to healthcare facilities.
  
  Promote hygiene, nutrition, and general health education within the school.
  
  Ensure the school sick bay is clean, safe, and well-equipped.
  
  Advise school management on health and safety policies.
  
  Uphold safeguarding, child protection, and infection prevention standards.
  
  Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding learners’ health concerns.

Qualification/Work Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing (General Nursing, Registered Nurse, or equivalent).
  
  Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ).
  
  Minimum of 3 years’ experience in nursing (school or paediatric experience is an added advantage).
  
  Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  
  Knowledge of child health, infection control, and emergency response.
